Community Involvement

At Bishop & McKenzie, it is not enough to be an excellent
lawyer. We believe our role must be greater. Our lawyers are
dedicated to serving their communities.

At Bishop & McKenzie we believe that each of us has an obligation to contribute to the community in which we live and work.

Members of our firm are active in the Law Society and Bar Association, church groups, business and professional organizations, public broadcasting, charitable activities, civic and community affairs, sporting associations and the arts.

We recognize the need to become involved. We believe that a good lawyer who is active in the community becomes both a better citizen and a better lawyer.

The practice of law requires the highest standards of ethics and ability, and we represent our clients' interests in accordance with these standards.

Members of our firm also seek to maintain or improve the standards of our profession. Some teach at the University of Alberta and the University of Calgary Faculties of Law. Others lecture in Bar Admission courses, lead continuing legal education seminars and present papers to the profession and to the public.
