| Born
and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Russ received both his B.A. (Psych.)
from the University of Calgary and his LL.B. from the University
of Alberta in 1983. Russ has appeared at all levels of Alberta's
court system, as well as before the Federal Court of Canada. He
is a member of the executive of the Canadian Bar Association's Foreclosure
Law Section and is also a member of the Insolvency, and Personal
Injury Sections. In addition, Russ is a member of both the Alberta
Civil Trial Lawyers Association and the Calgary Bar Association.
In the community, he is involved as a coordinator of the Foothills
Ball Hockey League and as a coach for the Trails West Hockey Association.
In his spare time, Russ is a sports enthusiast and enjoys playing
hockey, tennis and hiking.
