Norbert was raised in Edmonton and received his B. Comm. in 1983 and his LL.B. in 1987 from the University of Alberta. His professional expertise is enhanced by his involvement in the Society of Trust and Estate Planners, Edmonton Tax Lawyers and Accountants Discussion Group and the Canadian Bar Association's Tax Law Subsection. In addition, he has also completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Tax course and the Canadian Tax Foundation's Estate Planning course. Norbert serves as legal counsel to the largest computer gaming company in Edmonton.
Nobert is an active member of the community and enjoys organizing and instructing many of the Chamber of Commerce courses on setting up small businesses. He is also a member and former President of the Edmonton Dollar Club. Norbert is passionate about travelling, having visited extensively throughout North and South America and Europe. He enjoys cycling and has toured much of Alberta, B.C., France and Germany by bike.
