Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Jeff received his B.A. in 1980 from Brigham Young University and his LL.B. in 1984 from the University of Alberta. He is an advocate whose practice is centered on insurance and professional negligence claims and has extensive experience appearing before all levels of courts in Canada, including:

He has also appeared before numerous boards, inquiries, and investigations and represented professionals in various disciplinary proceedings and hearings.
Jeff is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and the Law Society of the Northwest Territories.
He is a lecturer for the Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education and has been a lecturer at the Law Society of Alberta's Bar Admission Course. Jeff has also been a sessional lecturer on professional responsibility for the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta, and is a member of the American Association for Justice (formerly the American Trial Lawyers Association). He has also been an invited speaker for the Canadian Bar Association, Legal Education Society of Alberta, the University of Alberta School of Business, and many other professional, business and service organizations. Jeff's vast experiences in complex and multi-jurisdictional lawsuits have resulted in him being asked to speak at a number of medical and legal conferences.
