| Born in Montreal, Quebec and raised in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Tara received her B.A. in 1992 and her LL.B. in 1999 from the University of Alberta. She has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta, and before various administrative tribunals. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers’ Association. She has presented seminars to professional and community groups on such topics as employment law, privacy law and the liability of directors and officers of non-profit organizations.
Tara is also involved in the community as the President of Uncles and Aunts at Large (Edmonton Area) Society and through her fundraising efforts for various charities and local organizations. She is a licensed pilot and a former member of the Canadian Armed Forces. She is passionate about traveling and Formula 1 auto racing, and her spare time is under the direction of her two young children.
