| Patti grew up in Tofield, Alberta, and pursued undergraduate studies at the University of Lethbridge. She then moved to Edmonton and worked at the University of Alberta for 5 years before returning to student life at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law.
Patti is a vice-president of the Alumni & Friends of the Faculty of Law Association, a member of the Edmonton chapter of the Commercial Real Estate Women Network, president of BNI Synergy, and an active member of a number of sections of the Canadian Bar Association.
Patti and her husband, Sean spend their vacation time sailing. They have explored the Gulf Islands, San Juan Islands and the British Virgin Islands. Together with their young son, they aspire to log many more nautical miles in the Caribbean, the South Pacific and the Mediterranean.
