Armand, who was born and raised in Willingdon, Alberta and received his B.A. and LL.B., both with distinction, together with the Horace Harvey Gold Medal in Law, from the University of Alberta. He is currently a member of both the Law Society of Alberta and the Canadian Bar Association. As well, Armand is a member of the Calgary Counsel for Advanced Technology, a member of the Alberta Mortgage and Loans Association, a member of the Hong Kong Canada Business Association, a past member of the Editorial Board for the Alberta Residential Conveyancing Guide Practice Manual and a past member of the Editorial Board for the Real Estate section of the Alberta Bar Admission Course.
Armand is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Kidney Foundation of Canada and the Membership Committee of the Alberta New Home Warranty Program. He is also a past member of Uncles at Large. Armand is an avid downhill skier, and enjoys wakeboarding, squash, tennis and golf. His other interests include travelling, movies, music and concerts.
