| Carmen
is a native Edmontonian and received her B. Comm. with distinction
in 1986 and her LL.B.with distinction in 1994 from the University
of Alberta. Carmen has appeared at all levels of Court in Alberta
and is currently a member of the CBA Civil Litigation and Insurance
subsections. She has taught as a volunteer instructor for the Alberta
Bar Admission Course.
Carmen
has volunteered for numerous non-governmental organizations committed
to social justice issues and is currently a Director of Change for
Children. Carmen greatly enjoys travelling and has worked overseas
for an extended period in Japan and also in Central America. She
enjoys downhill skiing, hiking and most outdoor adventures.
