| Kari, a native Edmontonian, received her B.A. (with distinction) from the University of Alberta in 2006, and her L.L.B. (with distinction) from the University of Alberta in 2007. Kari was very active in the community during law school, volunteering her time as an executive of the Women's Law Forum, Law Show, and the PandaBearristers Rugby Club. She was also an active member of Student Legal Services, serving as the Co-ordinator of the Legal Education and Reform Project in 2006 and 2007. Kari participated actively in debating competitions, serving as a team member on the national Laskin Moot and the local Clinton J. Ford Moot. Kari also served on the editorial board of the Alberta Law Review for two years.
Kari enjoys volunteering in the community and currently volunteers with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre. In her spare time she enjoys a wide variety of activities including running, tennis, squash, volleyball, equestrian, kayaking, reading, and video games. Kari loves to travel and can't wait for her next vacation.
