| Phil
Warner is a senior partner located in the Edmonton office of Bishop
& McKenzie and has practiced civil litigation with the firm
for over 35 years. His practice includes professional liability,
product liability primarily for manufacturers, insurance litigation
mainly involving insurance coverage opinions and related issues
for defence, serious personal injury and wrongful death claims,
administrative board work, and advising upon municipal law issues.
After
obtaining a Bachelor of Arts he obtained his LL.B. from the University
of Alberta in 1969. He was called to the Alberta Bar in 1970 and
the Northwest Territories Bar in 1980. He was appointed Queen's
Council in 1988.
Phil
served as bencher of the Law Society of Alberta in the 90's as well
as a member of several Law Society committees.
He
has appeared before the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta, the Court
of Queen's bench of Saskatchewan, the Supreme Court of the Northwest
Territories, the Alberta Court of Appeal, the NWT Court of Appeal,
the Supreme Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Canada.
